Kaiteriteri is stunning view, a golden-sand beach and one of the gateways to the Abel Tasman National Park and shares the same coastal features: sandy beaches and crystal clear aquamarine water.
The iconic seaside resort is a great holiday destination that offers many outdoor activities. You could hop onto a boat and venture into the Abel Tasman Park, launch/rent a kayak or SUP and explore Split Apple Rock, go sailing, test your skills at the Mountain Bike Park or do some local short walks like up to Kaka Point Reserve where you have fantastic views over the bay. If that's all too much action you can just kick back and relax at the beach sipping a cool drink while the kids are having a blast.
The beach is great for swimming but keep an eye on the current during outgoing tide on the right end of the beach where the estuary outlet is.
Accommodation wise you have several options in Kaiteriteri. Holiday homes, apartments or the ever popular seaside campground. Eating options are limited but you have a couple of eateries around the beach and a vegetarian restaurant (The Views) to keep your stomach filled.
Kaiteriteri Beach has a range of amenities, including toilets, changing rooms, and showers. There are also several cafes and restaurants nearby and a small convenient store for your daily needs but if you plan to cater for yourself and need more supplies we would suggest to get them in Motueka.
If you here at the right time, you could attend some events and festivals which are happening throughout the year. The Kaiteriteri Beach Summer Concert is a popular annual event featuring live music and entertainment on the beach.
